In the spring of 2024, I was hired by the City of Boston (Office of New Urban Mechanics and Office of Equity and Inclusion), Northeastern University, and the North American Indian Center of Boston to design material for an upcoming speaker symposium. The event is focused on Indigenous artists, curators, and academics, so I used elements inspired by Indigenous art from the Northeast, including hand-drawn scrollwork and circular and looping details.
Deliverables for this project included initial save the date graphics, smaller email graphics, printed flyers, social media content highlighting the individual speakers, and graphics to be displayed during the event itself. In addition, I created a comprehensive visual language and branding guideline to streamline the design process, allowing for creative play and layout while remaining consistent through color and type.
